MISSION: The Life Care Clinic and Foundation is dedicated to conducting treatment, research and public education into the links between dysfunctional human communication and increased risk of both emotional and physical disease.

Life Care Clinic offers client-care for adults, couples, children and families suffering from either the emotional or physical consequences of dysfunctional patterns of dialogue.

The Life Care Foundation pursues research and educational efforts that uncover the sources of modern barriers to natural and interpersonal connectedness, including school failure, the teaching of toxic talk to children, and new-age loneliness. Common to both the Clinic and Foundation is the assumption of the centrality of the body in all communication.

LONELINESS IN HEALTH & WELL-BEING: Loneliness is the silent plague of our times.  It brings a host of disorders in its wake, including coronary heart disease, hypertension, migraine headaches, vasovagal syncope, depression, excessive anxiety, immune system malfunction, increased vulnerability to substance abuse, marital tension, and overall shortened life-span. Modern loneliness is compounded by many kinds of disruptions in family, social and communal life unique to the new millennium, including:
  • Loss of the bonds of companionship and family
  • Loss of connection to the community
  • Loss of connection to Nature, with the exclusion of plants, animals and natural spaces from our communities, including our therapeutic communities.
  • New age narcissism: the replacement of three-dimensional reality with virtual images and the fragmentation of self.
  • The replacement of heartfelt, face-to-face dialogue with electronic communication.

Our staff, patient-care, research, publications and educational programs are discussed in depth in the Life Care Clinic or Life Care Foundation sections of this Web Site. For additional information on any topic please contact:
